Long Way From Home is an assemblage that combines cast-off pieces of wood gathered from an industrial suburb of Hermosillo, Sonora, image transfers, and laser-engraved texts. The piece operates as a first-person poetic meditation about the borderlands and the tension between global forces and individual experience.
