The River Current
The still images above are from the first series I shot on black and white infrared film. Below is the initial stop motion video I made using the same film. I shot, developed, scanned, and edited each negative into the video as it exists today. The majority of images were taken with self timer in locations I frequented growing up in Richmond, VA. The title "The River Current" alludes to the James River that runs through the city of Richmond and references the Greek philosopher Heraclitus's quote: "No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same man."
